
Richard Villani is a creative director, photo director and producer. He started his career at Robert Mapplethorpe’s studio, compiling the photographer’s estate archive with Christie’s, and then went on to Vogue , Interview and Vanity Fair where he traveled the world extensively working with some of the most esteemed photographers in the fashion and publishing world. Villani has been instrumental in creating and producing some of Vanity Fair ’s iconic portfolio’s such as the annual Hollywood and New Establishment Issues.
Currently, Villani works as Director of Global Partnerships & Exhibitions for Tom of Finland Foundation. Leads the annual Art & Culture Festival and Emerging Artist Contest as well as building relations with artist and clients around the world. In the Fall of 2024 Villani Studios was founded supporting past & present erotic artists + archives w/ curation, strategy, + project development .
